Lord & Berry black eyeliner for smokey eyes

Hey there ladies!

My favourite day makeup is a light smokey eyes.  It's achieved by a light shimmery eyeshadow on the lid and then lining the eyes with a smudgey black eyeliner.  I find this sort of look much easier in the day as it really brings the best of your eyes out, however, it isn't heavy at all so you don't look OTT.

I achieved the look below so simply, all I did was apply a light finely shimmery chanel eyeshadow in 46 Lotus (here) as it is almost skin coloured but adds a nice shimmer.  I then lined the inner waterline with Lord & Berry soft black pencil eyeliner (here).  Using the same pencil eyeliner I also went thickly underneath the lowerlashes.  This helps your eyes to look more defined and winder.  Then, very lightly I lined the top lashline too and gently smudged it with my finger.

What makes Lord & Berry eyeliners different to other liners is its consistency.  It is almost waxy. This makes it perfect for smokey eyes as it is smudgable and then sets.  This creates a really beautiful smokey effect which isn't too harsh.  It's therefore perfect for my natural smokey eye look above.  It can also build up colour by going over  again.

Lord & Berry SCUBA Extreme mascara - get the look

Good morning lovely ladies!

You all know how much I'm a fan of the Lord & Berry Italian makeup line (available from www.asos.com ) so I thought I'd do an entire look using them.

In the pictures below I'm wearing Lord& Berry SCUBA Extreme mascara*, smudge-proof eyeliner* in Smoke and lip crayon* in Intimacy. 

This was my first time using their mascara and was really impressed with it.  As you can see it comes out in a jet black kohl colour which I love because it contrasts to the smokey grey of their pencil eyeliner.  The wand is 'fish shaped' and really grips the lashes curling them upwards.  I would definitely recommend this mascara to anyone who wants over the top, volumized lashes that don't smudge - as the clever name - Scuba extreme - implies, this is a great waterproof mascara that will stick all day!

I matched it with their lipstick crayon in Intimacy, a rich berry colour.  I'm a sucker for these as they go on so smoothly allow you to be a little less precise than with normal lipstick as they have a gloss like consistency.

Easy smokey eyes with Lord and Berry

Hello my lovely ladies, Smokey eyes is one of those looks that often ends up with eyeshadow fall out not only during the application but also after a couple of hours of wear and puts off even the most seasoned makeup wearer.

 But, here is my fool proof smokey eyes that is super easy and takes seconds. The trick is to use a smudgeable eyeliner - I'm using Lord & Berry's smudgeproof eyeliner in smoke*. Just thickly line the top lid (getting gradually thicker to the outer edge) then as soon as its lines smudge it with your fingers gently (don't worry it gives you 30 seconds smudging time.  Don't over work it in, just gently drag your finger over it to blend it and make the lines less harsh.

 For this easy smokey eyes look, I'm using Lord & Berry, and Italian makeup brand that specialises in lip and eye pencils and available at www.asos.com .  I went for a smokey gray colour smudgeproof eyeliner in #719 for the eyes as its a little less harsh than black (but still gives you 30 seconds smudging time).   I matched it with their vintage pink crayon lipstick*.

Complete the look - 

To go with this easy smokey eyes look I kept the hair casual with natural waves.  Scrunch in some Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray for some relaxed messy curls.  This is a great low maintenance look that can be worn both day and night.
