Dower and Hall Press day!

The other day I was invited to the beautiful press day by Dower and Hall at Kettners in Soho.  As you guys have probably seen in my posts, I'm crazy about their jewelry and I'm always wearing their nugget bracelet, so it was a great privilege to see their new collections!

I don't want to give too much of the game away, but there's a stunning turquoise collection which has absolutely captivated me!  It reminds me so much of Santorini, I think its their azures of the stones, but it immediately creates that beach godess look!  I cannot wait 'til its available in the shops!

I also was gifted a beautiful Sterling Silver Feather bracelet from their new Feathers collection! You will be seeing much much more of this and I can't wait to show it off in future posts!  What do you think of it??

moschino wallet

Hello my beauties!

I know I've already shown this Moschino wallet on a previous post, but I love it for summer fashion as it can be dressed up an down.  I matched it with casual denim shorts, a large oversized roll sleeve topshop tshirt and some leather wedges from Office.

I went crazy when I found this wallet in such a beautiful nude pink tone.   I got it from the town where these pictures are taken, called Cattolica as it is where they actually manufacture all the Moschino bags and shoes (god help me).  This is why I also treated myself to a few other pieces which you'll see in upcoming posts (note to self - no more bag shopping forever!!).

Makeup: Also, to keep with the smart/casual look I straightened my hair and wore urban decay primer potion (perfect for airport liquid restricitions) with urban decay  eyeshadow in blackout.  I then finished it off with lashings of  DiorShow mascara.    I didn't put foundation on as I already had that holiday glow!

Hope you like the look!

One More Day of Gorgeous Hair with Phillip Kingsley

Hello Lovely Ladies!

One of my pet hates is washing and styling your hair, it looking great for one day, and then as soon as you sleep on it, it looses all of its shape and freshly washed shine and has that dullness to it.

Because I've got super long hair, this makes it even worse as there is no way I can wash it EVER day.  This is why dry shampoo is crucial to my hair care routine as it adds some va va voom to dull and lifeless hair!

I've recently tried Philip Kingsley's dry shampoo called One More Day*.  This is an absolute god send - not only does it get rid of that greasy feel making hair feel like its newly washed again, but it really gives volume at the roots.  I much prefer creating volume with dry shampoo than hair spray, as hair spray looks great for an hour and then just leaves your hair with stickiness!

Hair: Phillip Kingsley range available here or from Marks and Spencers stores
Wallet: Moschino ss13 similar here
Tshirt: Topshop ss13 oversized roll sleeve here
Bracelet: Dower & Hall here

I would definitely recommend One More Day to anybody and everybody as it lets you get away with not washing your hair every day, adds volume and eliminates greasyness! It also doesn't leave your hair with that weird gray tinge which sometimes other dry shampoos can do!

Have you guys tried any of the other products in the Phillip Kingsley range?

Fun at the beach

Hello Dolls,

Here are just a couple of holiday snaps from the beach.  There's no place that I love more in this world than this beach.  The water is crystal clear and so calm.  Best of all theres no sand - I get it every where!

Really simple casual beach outfit:  Denim shorts, rolled up Jack Wills oversized tshirt and my good old trusty Chanel sunnies!

Its  always best to wear things to the beach that you don't mind getting a bit dirty and second of all, that are light and breezy and  not a pain to put on on top of a wet costume!

Feeling Pink

If you think London's scorching, here on the Adriatic coast it's absolutely volcanic.  Here's some pictures from the shade as it really was too hot to handle!

I've gone for pinks and blues - with a mixture of highstreet and designer.  On the top half its a pink Guess tank top - I splashed out on this as I really loved the colour and fit and will definitely get lots of wear this summer.  On the bottom half, again those old denim shorts and blue leather flip flops from Gap.  Seriously comfy - I can't get enough of them!

And for the accessories -

  • New Moschino wallet!  I'm absolutely in love with it, especially because it was made in the city where I'm staying!  I also got a few other pieces which you'll see in upcoming posts!!
  • Dower & Hall Nugget bracelet

cheap beach fashion

Hi!

Just a quick post -

This is a really quick post about cheap and beach fashion - everything I'm wearing is highstreet.  You might have seen the white flower detail crochet shirt from TopShop in a previous post, but this time its tied up and over a super cheap £2.00 primark gray strappy top.  The shorts are old and from a good four years ago.

Best of all are the real leather flip flops from Gap which are not only super comfy but are now in the sale (Cry! I hate it when that happens just after I've bought them!)

Beach Stripes - Alberta Ferretti

Well Hello!

These couple of weeks I've been in beautiful Emiglia Romagna, Italy.  I lived here for two years before moving back to London and boy have I missed it.

There people here are know as 'gente del mare', meaning people of the sea.  Everything oozes this - the beautiful grilled fish caught fresh every day, the beach side life and love of everything stripey!

Today I'm wearing some stripey shorts by Alberta Ferretti - the local designer literally born and bred in my local city and with the factory here too so I couldn't not leave her out of this first  post!

I love these shorts for the beach as theyre so light weight and so comfy.  Their stripes and colours fit in so much with the idea of Gente del Mare here!

Beach makeup and accessories

Its hard to go the beach utterly makeup free, especially when you're used to putting it on every day.  I for one, can't quite hack it.  I feel completely nude without macara on!

Here are my beach makeup essentials:

Dior Show waterpoof mascara - nothing but nothing will make this mascara smudge! (speaking of which to remove it the only thing that works for me is this Garnier 2in1 makeup remover.

Lord & Berry smudgeproof eyeliner pencil in smoke - I'm crazy about  this - not only is the dark grey a beautiful shade, but it stays all day - even in the sea. (Available from ASOS.)

Accessories:

Absolute essentials are -
Chanel Sun glasses - impossible to go out of fashion
Nomad nugget bracelet perfect for the beach look by Dower & Hall
