Moschino Milano beach wear

Hello my lovelies!

Did I tell you I went to Barcelona last week!?

Things have been hectic the last few weeks travelwise as I have been to Italy, Spain and off to Denmark in a couple of weeks too!

Because of all these summer trips, I treated myself to some goodies from my favourite brand.  No these aren't press samples (I wish haha!) - I actually chose my towel to match my bikini.  A new low, or a new level of cool.  I think somewhere between!

I am soooo in love with the fuschia and yellow mix.  Actually, the bikini has a deep blue and lime green tie on the back which breaks it up a little.  Here is a link to the yellow Moschino bikini and it is actually now on sale too!  Not the most flattering of pictures below but this is the one which has the towel in it too.

Actually, the towel deserves a blog post to itself too! It is exttra large and so so thick. It looks great in reverse too witch fuschia pink as the dominant colour and with moschino in yellow. Here is a link to the moschino yellow beach towel,  as who else wants to match their bikini and towel haha!  It's a shame as these are from two different online retailers - I chose them in the shop so could tell they actually matched and went together.  I feel a tiny bit guilty for this splurge but I think it was totally worth it.  These ridiculous things make me happy!

I will try and find more snaps of this great Beach OOTD!

Enjoy!!

Lots of love, Fiocco xx

Budget bikini or designer? Primark vs Moschino

Wassup ladies.

So it's coming up to that time of year where things are warming up and perhaps you're looking at fabulous holiday destinations for the summer!!

I know that's what I'm doing - anyone who follows my blog knows that I am constantly dreaming of Italy or any other warm European country with sea, sand and incredible food!!

But - I've been considering bikini options.  Don't get me wrong - I have Moschino bikinis galore *guilty pleasure* but I thought I'd try out some budget bikinis too last summer to mix it up.  And the results were surprising  ........

The above blue and white bikini is....????????

Primark!  I think it cost under £5.00 in total.  What. A. Bargain.  I chose it because I'd packed my suitcase full of bikinis then 1 hour before my flight realised I had backed all bandeaux and needed a triangle bikini to sort out the tan lines.  After popping into Primark I found this stunner of a bikini.

I loved the nautical blue and white colour and thought I would just try it out to see.  I ended up wearing this stunner for most of the holiday - it lasted well and washed great.  It wasn't lined with nice soft lining like the Moschino below and the material didn't have a silky finish....but it dried quickly, was comfortable and looked great.

Below is a Moschino polka dot bikini.  The finish is much better, it has a silky touch and delicate gold clips to remove the neck tie.  But, it doesn't come cheap costing approx £120.  (oops, don't judge me!!)  I would say you can get a similar effect with a £5 bikini and really you enjoy yourself more in a cheaper one.  In the polka dot one below I am always worried about ruining it, sand getting into it and generally it is more high maintenance which isn't the best when on holiday.

So what is your personal choice?  Cheap or designer???

I think Primark beat Moschino this time!

Sun in Sorrento on the Amalfi coast

Sitting here in London in rainy March....I haven't stopped thinking of getting away this summer to a warmer, more beach perfect location!

Last year I managed to go on lots of sunny vacations, but my favourite was the Amalfi coast in Sorrento.

The crystal blue seas, the gorgeous sun, the natural rocky landscape and flowers everywhere is something which seems a long way away as I look at the gray Thames from my window!  The amazing pizza in Sorrento city centre with fresh local buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and basil on a thick tradition Naples style base was easily the best I have ever eaten.   And I have eaten a lot of Italian pizza!

If you make a trip down to the Amalfi coast be sure to rent a car so you can enjoy the hair pin turns all around the coast and stop of in beautiful little villages along the way.

I think I might have to make a trip back this summer!!

Clothes

Keeping the colours British I went for red white and blue!

I'm wearing int he below - Moschino red shorts, Topshop white crochet vest, blue under shirt  and Chanel sunnies :)

The Pure Beauty Awards with Smooth hair & award winning Label M rejuvinating oil mist

Hey lovely ladies,

I had a formal event at the Savoy for the Pure Beauty Awards last Thursday and spent ages deliberating what to wear and what to do with my hair.  The pure beauty awards looks at the newest products on the beauty world and are voted on by the public.

For the outfit - I decided on a really simple black dress with a neck feature by Moschino.  Again, this was bought in Italy so can't find a link for its purchase in the UK - but this dress pretty similar in its fit and I love the golden neck detail.

For the hair - I decided to go for long sleek hair, and it was Label M's rejuvinating oil mist which really got rid of the frizz.  I love how it gives such a glossy look and it is becoming such a staple of mine when I decide to wear my hair out and long.

The best thing is, that whilst at the PURE beauty awards, my gorgeous spray which I thought was an undiscovered gem is not actually all that undiscovered.  So much so that whilst I was enjoying the evening this particular hair Oil came up an won silver for Best New Hair Care Product.

This company couldn't have deserved it enough, their products always deliver what they say, and leave hair feeling nourished and looking great!

Well done Label M - you really deserved your PURE beauty award !!

Rubber speed boat in Italy along the riviera

Good Morning!

I thought I'd share my favourite moment from my holiday in Italy - renting out a rubber speed boat to explore the Italian Riviera!

I made sure I perched on the front to enjoy all the fabulous views whilst sunbathing, leaving the steering to the others.  Tempt ing as being in control was, I didn't want to risk every one (phones and all) going overboard!

Renting one of these boats is a great way to explore more of the country your visiting, whilst having a whale of a time.

My Top Tips:

  •  I tried to look the part by wearing my favourite Moschino bikini :P
  • Wear sun protection with a higher protection than normal - the sea reflects the light and there is no shade so watch out!
  • Take water - no where to buy it from
  • A waterproof Go-Pro is a must have for fantastic underwater shots without worrying about getting splashed

OOTD Moschino Black Leather Bag with Max Mara Camel Coat

Hello my chicas!

Here is my outfit of the day!

It hasn't been the best June weather-wise here in London, so I've had to wrap up warm!

I am absolutely in love with my new purchases- a gorgeous black leather bag my Moschino (available from www.moschino.com) and a camel coat.

I've seen a few Victoria's Secrets models wearing similar coats recently so I had to get one.  They are great for this chilly weather which isn't too cold, but definitely weather for a coat.

They look sophisticated and classy, but still edgy.  Mine is from www.maxmara.com.  They are a little bit pricey, but I see them as an investment piece, as they will never go out of fashion.

I matched the bag and coat with Zara jeans and Bertie brown leather boots.

Moschino bag....if you hadn't noticed!

The Tourist

Morning!

Here are a few more gorgeous snaps of the beauty that is the Amalfi Coast.  This is somwhere inbetween Amalfi and Positano as we were driving along the long winding panormaic road which joins the two.

As we were driving, here's another super comfortable beach / driving outfit.  I've got on some red beach shorts by Moschino (they kind of remind me of high school musical) and a white crochet sleeveless stop from TopShop.  All paired with some Chanel oversized glasses.

These sorts of shorts are way more comfy than denim ones in the heat as they are so light weights and stretchy.  Sometimes sitting in the car for a long time in denim shorts really is uncomfortable when it's over 30 degrees outside.
That's it for now!

Lot's of love!

Moschino Bikini in Sorrento

Hello my lovlies!

As you might know I was away in Italy for a lot of last month.  My other half and I drove down from Cattolica all the way to Sorrento.

I really don't know I have ever been anywhere so beautiful in my life.  Crystal blue waters and mount Vesuvius in the backdrop!  These pictures were taken from Cala di Puolo - a lovely cover just a few minutes drive from Sorrento.  There was barely anyone there and the view was just breathtaking.

Moschino polka dot bikini from Zalando

I treated myself to a pretty Moschino polka dot bikini from Zalando  I loved the bandeaux style as I find it more flattering than triangle bikinis and I love the little halter neck tie as well.  Its priced at £135 but I think it's well worth the money as I really felt extra special in it.

It's a fun design but at the same time elegant enough for Sorrento! (My bright pink and yellow ones seemed a bit brash for this holiday haha!)  It has an almost silky touch and is made of an almost satin like material on the outside which makes a difference to most swimwear.  I love that that this gave a silky shimmer to the cream shade and added a touch of quality.

Have you guys every been to Sorrento?  Did you enjoy it?? I'll be posting a few more pictures from my trip there over the next few days - I'm sure I'll convince you all to go!

Over all it was a comfy and casual look, perfect for going out to dinner with friends with that little bit of bling on the collar!  Simple and easy to recreate!

London in the Sun - Caramel leather jacket & Kiko kiss balm

Hey Dolls,

I don't know about you but I've been loving the beautiful weather we've been having this summer here in London.  So today I've dressed ready to spend the day down at Hyde Park (hence the flipflops!).

I've got on here one of my favorite lambskin leather jackets from Muubaa as its perfect for this summer weather with its copped length and delicious light caramel colour.  Perfect for taking of the edge off those summer breezes. I've matched the look with natural makeup but with a touch of my new Kiko kiss balm, see down below for more details!

I'm Wearing:
Muubaa Leather jacker SS12: similar here
H&M Long Top SS13: Available here
Jeans - Italian boutique: Similar here
Moschino Leather Bag SS13: Available here
GAP leather flipflops SS13: Available here
Check out my Kiki makeup down below!

Makeup: Today I tried out a brand new lip balm called kiss balm by Kiko in 04 Cherry.  I bought it because of its beautiful smell that is good enough to eat (it's also a bargain at £5.90).  Even though it looks bright pink, it just adds a subtle pink gloss to the lips that I just love.  It also leaves them feeling amazingly nourished too. Available here.

And that's it, my beauties.  I hope you've enjoyed!

Let me know what you think!

Autumn Look: Zara quilted Jacket & Moschino Bag

Hello!

Today has been really Autumnal here in London.  It's only mid August and it's already freezing.  Long gone are the shorts and skirts, so its back to jeans and jackets.

I've dragged out of the closet my Zara quilted jacket that I bought last Christmas.  It's a really dark green with brown detailing which I think is perfect for these Autumnal days.  It keeps the chill off but still wraps you up warm when it gets colder at night.  This seasons Zara quilted jacket (available here)  is beautiful too, but this season is in navy blue and black.

I've matched it with my new Moschino bag (available here) which seems to spruce up any outfit.  Even if my hair is completely wild.

Hope you like it!

What are your Autumn staples???

moschino wallet

Hello my beauties!

I know I've already shown this Moschino wallet on a previous post, but I love it for summer fashion as it can be dressed up an down.  I matched it with casual denim shorts, a large oversized roll sleeve topshop tshirt and some leather wedges from Office.

I went crazy when I found this wallet in such a beautiful nude pink tone.   I got it from the town where these pictures are taken, called Cattolica as it is where they actually manufacture all the Moschino bags and shoes (god help me).  This is why I also treated myself to a few other pieces which you'll see in upcoming posts (note to self - no more bag shopping forever!!).

Moschino ss13 wallet here

Makeup: Also, to keep with the smart/casual look I straightened my hair and wore urban decay primer potion (perfect for airport liquid restricitions) with urban decay  eyeshadow in blackout.  I then finished it off with lashings of  DiorShow mascara.    I didn't put foundation on as I already had that holiday glow!

Hope you like the look!
