Beach Walk OOTD

Hello lovelies

On this mini vacation to Italy I've gone to the gorgeous riverside town of Cattolica near San Marino.

Yesterday I went for a gorgeous beach walk along the pier of Cattolica, and the sky was looking stunning at sunset. I'd spent a great day walking through the town enjoying lots of shopping.  They have fantastic makeup stores there and I purchased a few Chanel & YSL lipsticks in dark shades of brown which I'll be featuring on the blog soon.  I can't tell if I love or hate them on me - they are all the craze now since Kylie Jenner's new lip kip range so had wanted to try it out for a while!

It's still a bit chilly in the spring air, so had to wrap up warm for this beach front walk and so chose a  Zara leather coat,  Guess Jeans and H&M khaki shirt.  A really simple outfit which is perfect for casual and dining out.

There is nothing more relaxing than a riverfront walk to clear the mind and awaken the body.

Looking forward to being back in the UK tomorrow!

OOTD Zara Pink Jacquard Coat with Pockets

Hey sweeties,

Those of you in London have probably seen that this August is pretending to be Autumn already.  The weathers turned, and it's pretty much freezing the whole time now.  I needed a jacket which was great for Autumn as all my heavy Winter ones were far too much for August - whipping out the fur trim is just a bit too far.

So I snapped up a bargain in the Zara sale, purchasing for just £29.99 (from £89.99) this pretty pastel pink Jacquard coat with double side pockets (link).

You can see best in the picture above how nicely this coat just sits with its beautifully cut round neck line and long cut. The material is just beautiful made from almost pure cotton and is in a lovely pink and cream shade

The three quarter sleeves are just perfect for keeping you warm without being too stiffling but what I really love about the coat is the cut.  The neckline is so elegant and the front just drapes down.  There are no fastenings, so it's just a light, throw on coat.  I also got it a size larger than usual as it looks great a little over sized as it sits loosely on the shoulders.

What to wear it with? This Zara Jacquard Coat looks great dressed up or down.  I dressed it down with some black J Brand skinnies and leather boots, but I can even see Zara coat going with cute plain summer dresses.

So, that's my OOTD, don't you just love snapping up a sale coat from Zara! Let me know if you got anything!

OOTD in Sorrento

 Hello lovely ladies,

It's hot hot hot and frankly, I couldn't be happier!  I love when the sun is out creating beautiful sunsets and you can go out at night and enjoy the cool air.  It reminds me of the holiday I just got back from in Sorrento so this is n OOTD which can be recreated here in our glorious British weather that we're having at the moment.

Clothes - I wore a Zara white long sleeve top with transparent shoulder panels (it is super thin though so perfect for the evening) with a dark blue zara pleated mini skirt.

Makeup -  I had a tan so foundation was out the door as a colour match with a tan is near impossible and paramount to sacrilegious! So instead I just put on powder to minimise the shine, bright fuschia YSL lipgloss and lashings of mascara.

Hair - Super straight with Label M age defying radiance oil.  I can't live without this oil - it is non greasy and does an amazing job at minimising frizz and making it smell delicious. It retails at £25.50 - this is pricey but I would definitely say its worth it.

It looks like I'm wearing old school 10 denier tights but this is my tan, can you believe it!

So that was my OOTD - I felt sleek and sophisticated in this outfit and absolutely perfect for an evening out on the Amalfi coast.  Italians always nail their outfits and I tried not to be the garish brit abroad with florescent shorts ( I saved those for the beach - you'll be getting a peak of them soon!)

Classic Brit Awards OOTD

Hello Honeys!

Hope you're well and are having a beautiful week!

I had the pleasure to receive VIP tickets for the Classic Brit Awards last night.  I'm not going to lie, I was a little apprehensive as it's not like I know a whole lot about classical music, but oh my gosh was last night incredible! (I think its going to be shown on ITV Saturday at 10.20pm if you fancy seeing it).

There was Lang Lang - the amazing Chinese pianist who opened the Chinese Olympic Ceremony, Nicola Benedetti - simply gorgeous, and the star of the evening - Hans Zimmer aka the guy who wrote the sound tracks to over 150 films including The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean,  The Dark Night Rises, Inception & Sherlock Holmes.  It was so incredible I really would recommend it to anyone!

Clothes
I wore my favorite lace LBD from H&M, black zara leather jacket and a Moschino brown leather bag.  I left my hair in natural waves and kep my makeup light and sparkly.

It was such a beautiful evening and the Classic Brit Awards are definitely something I'd like to see again.  Oh - and Myleene Klasse's dress was just WOW.

Have you guys ever been?  Or are you gonna watch it ??

Outfit of the day - working the jeweled collar

Hey ladies!

Here's my outfit of the day - jeweled collar to create a casual look perfect for a dinner or drinks out but also wearable during the day.

I don't really do bling, jazzle or gems, but I recently bought this silky sleeveless shirt with a huge blinged collar!  I dressed it way way down with skinny dark wash jeans, black biker jacket and a cute little nude coloured clutch by Moschino....  (I told you I went crazy at their factory!)

Clutch: Moschino SS13
Beaded Shirt Miss Selfridges SS13
Leather Biker Zara AW12
Suede Boots Topshop AW12

Over all it was a comfy and casual look, perfect for going out to dinner with friends with that little bit of bling on the collar!  Simple and easy to recreate!

Kisses!!

Autumn Look: Zara quilted Jacket & Moschino Bag

Hello!

Today has been really Autumnal here in London.  It's only mid August and it's already freezing.  Long gone are the shorts and skirts, so its back to jeans and jackets.

I've dragged out of the closet my Zara quilted jacket that I bought last Christmas.  It's a really dark green with brown detailing which I think is perfect for these Autumnal days.  It keeps the chill off but still wraps you up warm when it gets colder at night.  This seasons Zara quilted jacket (available here)  is beautiful too, but this season is in navy blue and black.

I've matched it with my new Moschino bag (available here) which seems to spruce up any outfit.  Even if my hair is completely wild.

Hope you like it!

What are your Autumn staples???

Wardrobe staples

Hey Dolls!

To dress well doesn't mean that you always have to buy the latest season.  It also doesn't mean that you have to go shopping every week and spend a fortune.  Its all about choosing well fitting and gorgeous wardrobe stables.

I really believe that one of the key ways of saving money and looking great is to really think about what you need and what you will wear often.  Its all about choosing those timeless pieces that will look great time after time.So even if you spend a bit more money on a few less items, in the long run it will definitely save you money.

The outfit below is something I wear over and over, especially just by changing the top and accessories. There's nothing better than having a pair of great fitting jeans and a leather jacket that you love!

What are your timeless classics and wardrobe staples?

Bronze it up!

Putting on the right amount of makeup depending on the occasion is sometimes quite hard to gauge.  There's nothing worse than being too made up or too little. This weekend was a close friends birthday and she treated us all to a beautiful home cooked dinner.  I opted for a subtle gold and black smokey eyes with tonnes of bronzer to make it a bit more special

Below are some of my most used and most trusted makeup products.  These all make part of my fail-safe makeup bag and I carry with me wherever I go!  The bronzed effect was achieved through lightly applying the Nars bronzer all over with a large bush and then concentrating more under the cheekbones in order to acheive contouring.  The Benefit blush I then gently applied above this to lift the cheekbones and add a glow.

Face makeup - applied in this order
Eye Makeup

  • Clarins barocco trio (my favorite smokey pallet in the world, discontinued)
  • DiorShow Blackout
  • Chanel kohl crayon in peche cuivre

Clothes: Zara biker jacket, Miss Selfridges jewelled shirt

Look Book: Monochrome

Hello again my beauties,

As promised here's a look which I wore this bank holiday weekend.  It was a beautiful sunny day in London but still a bit chilly so I made sure I wore something with a jacket!

I'm a girl who definitely keeps things simple and classic - you're rarely see me wearing wacky colours and combinations in either my makeup choices or from my wardrobe.  I like this look as it is casual yet chic.

Sono una personna che piace  le cose semplice e classica.  Raramente si puo trovare le colore forte  nell mio armadio o nella mia colezzione di trucchi.

I'm wearing:
Leather effect leggings from Urban Outfitters (this season).
Love and drugs oversized t-shirt from Urban Outfitters (this season).
Leather jacket from Zara (last season)
Oversized sunglasses from Chanel (last season)
Black handbag from Longchamp Le Pliage Cuir (on going)

Makeup
There's a lot of black going on with the outfit so I didn't want to my makeup to be too heavy otherwise it might have been a bit of overkill.  I lined the eyes with a blend of black and gold eyeshadow but kept it fairly light.  There was also lashings of mascara and a light pink lipgloss.
